Theatre masterclasses with people who know the industry

Our first Cov Futures masterclasses were sold-out workshops over three days with internationally acclaimed theatre director Laurence Boswell, who grew up in Coventry and began his career here.

The masterclasses gave emerging theatre-makers the opportunity to work with Laurence, explore directing and acting, and learning from his experience working in theatre.

Next up: Tom Wright

Working in Theatre with Tom Wright

Our next theatre masterclass in Coventry brings Tom Wright to The Albany Theatre.

This session will explore what it is really like to build a career in theatre, with the opportunity to hear Tom’s experiences, ask questions and learn more about the industry.

Whether you’re interested in directing, producing, acting, programming or simply want to understand more about how theatre careers work, this is a chance to learn from someone with years of professional experience.

Sign up for the workshop here.

‘Kicking Down The Doors’ – a year of community activity at the Albany – is supported using public funding from the Lottery through Arts Council England. With thanks to Coventry City Council and the Alan Edward Higgs Charity.
