What’s On: Drama

20th December 2020
Like everything about 2020 – things have changed. But the power of performance rises above the challenges we face. Since early summer, Coventry Youth Operetta Group (YOG) has been meeting weekly on “Zoom” devising and rehearsing a musical showcase, featuring songs chosen by the company, from the familiar to the not so familiar West End and Broadway Musicals, with the ultimate hope of being able to perform live before the end of the year. Featuring showstopping solo and company numbers from hit musicals including “Dear Evan Hansen”, “Matilda” and recent YOG productions including “Blitz” and “The Wizard of Oz” there is something for everyone in this showcase performance. Delivered in a Covid-secure venue with Covid-secure staging we can ensure that these musical theatre performers of tomorrow can continue to do what they love today and entertain families, friends and supporters of Musical Theatre in Coventry. By buying a ticket you are not only helping to ensure that YOG can survive for years to come but also supporting the future of the Albany Theatre, the home of community performances in Coventry.

Pregnancy is joyous, miraculous, fabulous, tremendous… whatever. Maybe for some. But for Phoebe it’s not just the fags and booze she’s missing. She’s been pregnant before. It was a tragedy, but no one wants to know about that do they?
