'Our House' Details

We are pleased to announce that the Albany Theatre will be producing a community production of ‘Our House’, the Madness musical. The show will be performed from Wednesday 28th to Saturday 31st October 2026.

This production will be produced and performed by our in house community group ACT (Albany Creates Together).

Following their electrifying performance of Nick Dear’s ‘Frankenstein’, they will return to the stage this Autumn to bring a show featuring iconic songs such as ‘Our House’, ‘Baggy Trousers’ and ‘It Must Be Love’.

ACT is about the people of Coventry coming together to make something special so we want to hear from you!

'Our House' Audition

Tuesday 2nd June – Ensemble Workshop

You will take part in acting, dancing and singing workshops. For singing and dancing, you do not need to prepare anything. For acting, you can look at the script in advance but do not need to learn it (linked below).

Thursday 4th June – Character Auditions (and Ensemble Workshop catch-up)

For Character Auditions, you will need to prepare a song and monologue that we will provide (linked below). There will also be some time to catch up with people who missed Tuesday’s audition.

Tuesday 9th June – Characters Auditions and Callbacks

This day will be for any more Character Auditions. We may also ask some of those who did Character Auditions to prepare some different material to try different roles.

Frequently Asked Questions...

We ask that all ACT members be over the age of 18.  If you are under the age of 18 and want to get involved in theatre at the Albany, please see the Albany Youth Theatre.

Of course not! We’re looking for performers and creatives of all skill levels to take part in our productions, and would love to be your first experience of the stage.

We’re looking for… performers, musicians, dancers, musical directors, stage hands, lighting, sound, set building, props and anything else you can think of!

All rehearsals and shows will be held at The Albany Theatre.

We wants our community group to be as affordable as possible, but unfortunately, as the theatre is a charity, we will ask for a small fee to take part in a production. This will cover, props, costume, lighting, set etc and will be as low as is feasible. If you want to join but are worried about the financial implications, please get in touch.
