By Car

SATNAV: CV5 6JQ: Head towards Coventry City Centre and onto Coventry Ring Road, exit the ring road at Junction 7 signposted Ikea. Exit the roundabout onto Butts Road (B4101) signposted Earlsdon, the Albany Theatre is located on the left hand side past the traffic lights.

Parking Information

There is a multistory car park 100m from the Theatre entrance on Butts Road (pay on exit). From the ring road drive past the main entrance of the former college towards the Butts Arena and the entrance is on the left at the traffic lights – it is well signed,

There are limited spaces directly in front of the building (pay and display), both run by Excel Parking. If you park at the front outside a marked bay or do not pay you will get a Parking Charge Notice (£100). There is a 2m height restriction on the multistory car park. Both car parks accept coins only (the card facility is not activated. . Please note: on arrival you will find the barrier is already up. An Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system is in place. 

You MUST pay on exit or you will receive an automatic fine in the post.

Prices range from £0.50 for an hour, to £5.00 for 24 hours. Saturday-Sunday parking is £3.00 all day.

Blue Badge Holders – you must pay for parking either at the front of the building or in the multi-storey.

There is a ramp for access to the Theatre.

Alternative Car Parks

The next available car park is located on Moat Street (just off Junction 7). There is no charge for Blue Badge holders at this location, and maximum of £3.50 all day.

Drop Off Points

For guests and visitors, there is limited space to drop off outside the front of the Theatre.

For visiting companies and contractors, our Stage Door is located off Albany Road towards the rear of the building. The stage door is clearly signed. Everyone entering the theatre via the Stage Door must sign in.

Please note: there is no right of access or parking at any time at the rear of the theatre: you will get a Parking Charge Notice (£100).

By Bus

There is a bus stop directly outside the Theatre on Butts Road (Butts Radial Link Technical College) which serves services: 6, 6A, 10, 18, 19 and 47. For bus enquiries please visit Network West Midlands or call the travel line on 0871 200 22 33.

By Coach

Coaches can drop passengers off at the bus stop outside the theatre (see above). There is no facility for coach parking on site but Coventry Rugby Club is close by (Butts Park Arena) and you may be able to make direct arrangements with them to use their car park – call 02476 231 001.

By Train

The Albany Theatre is less than ten minutes walk from Coventry’s railway station.

The Albany Theatre in Coventry is thrilled to invite young people aged between 11 and 25 to complete their Bronze Arts Award this August. Participants will learn invaluable skills from industry professionals, take part in performance workshops and gain a recognised level 1 Arts qualification.
Albany Theatre Productions is thrilled to announce that they have now recruited the production team for the Albany’s first ever in-house pantomime, Dick Whittington.
Featuring four first-rate home-grown acts: The Hanksters, Nunc, Under The Influence, and Dave Fry.
