By Car

SATNAV: CV5 6JQ: Head towards Coventry City Centre and onto Coventry Ring Road, exit the ring road at Junction 7 signposted Ikea. Exit the roundabout onto Butts Road (B4101) signposted Earlsdon, the Albany Theatre is located on the left hand side past the traffic lights.

Parking Information

There is a multistory car park 100m from the Entrance of the Theatre (pay on exit).

There are limited spaces directly in front of the building (pay and display), both run by Excel Parking. If you park at the front outside a marked bay you will get a Parking Charge Notice (£100). There is a 2m height restriction on the multistory car park. Both car parks accept coins only. Please note: on arrival you will find the barrier is already up. A new Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system is in place. You MUST pay on exit or you will receive an automatic fine in the post.

Prices range from £0.50 for an hour, to £5.00 for 24 hours. Saturday-Sunday parking is £3.00 all day.

Blue Badge Holders – you must pay for parking either at the front of the building or in the multi-storey.

There is a ramp for access to the Theatre.

Alternative Car Parks

The next available car park is located on Moat Street (just off Junction 7). There is no charge for Blue Badge holders at this location, and maximum of £3.50 all day.

Drop Off Points

For guests and visitors, there is limited space to drop off outside the front of the Theatre.

For visiting companies and contractors, our Stage Door is located off Albany Road towards the rear of the building. The stage door is clearly signed. Everyone entering the theatre via the Stage Door must sign in.

Please note: there is no right of access or parking at any time at the rear of the theatre: you will get a Parking Charge Notice (£100).

By Bus

There is a bus stop directly outside the Theatre on Butts Road (Butts Radial Link Technical College) which serves services: 6, 6A, 10, 18, 19 and 47. For bus enquiries please visit Network West Midlands or call the travel line on 0871 200 22 33.

By Coach

Coaches can drop passengers off at the bus stop outside the theatre (see above). There is no facility for coach parking on site but Coventry Rugby Club is close by (Butts Park Arena) and you may be able to make direct arrangements with them to use their car park – call 02476 231 001.

By Train

The Albany Theatre is less than ten minutes walk from Coventry’s railway station.

Whilst many public performances have been postponed due to the pandemic, we want to keep our venue flourishing and endeavour to become a new home to many of Coventry's community and social groups.
Immerse yourself in a virtual theatre performance, see everything around you from floor to ceiling. Get the equipment (all you will need to provide is a smartphone) and you're ready.
The team at The Albany Theatre in Coventry is elated to have received the news today (12/10/2020) that they have secured a £250k grant from the Government’s £1.57 billion Culture Recovery Fund. Without the funding, The Albany would have been forced to close at the end of the week, but thanks to the hard work and dedication of all at the theatre, they can now look forward with confidence.
The Albany is pleased to announce that Zarah Sultana, Coventry South’s new MP, has joined the Board of the Charitable Trust that manages Coventry’s Albany Theatre and Studio on behalf of the community.
"We are ready to respond with creativity and enthusiasm as soon as we know it is safe to re-open... Rest assured, as soon as we have any news about The Albany we will let you know, we are ready to play our part in the re-emergence of live theatre."
