Date: 12th June 2022
Time: 7:30pm – 10:00pm

Warwickshire musician, Jack Blackman is fast developing into one the most accomplished and exciting young performers on the roots scene today.
His guitar playing has been described as ‘exceptional’ by Whispering Bob Harris. Jack has performed his songs not only across the country but also as far as the Mississippi Delta. Having cut his teeth in his teens trading licks with such luminaries as Paul Jones and The Blues Band, more recently with Tony Joe White and receiving accolades from Martin Simpson who marvelled, ‘At last! A brilliant young guitarist coming through’, Jack is no stranger to blues and folk. On his latest album, he fuses this with country, rock and pop with a voice that has been described as sounding ‘older and more careworn than his tender years should allow’ (Acoustic Magazine).
Jack was due to join the CVFolk Ukraine fundraiser event in March but was prevented after testing positive for Covid. Now fighting fit, he’s heading an amazing line-up of guests with the focus on blues and traditional American music – father and son duo Clive and Mat Ryder playing lively back-porch music on fiddle, banjo and guitar, the return appearance of foot-stompingly good songwriter Steven John Birks, and the awesome blues repertoire of the Sister Sarah Band.
It starts at 7.30pm and you’re in for a treat. Book your tickets now!
