Introducing our cast for A Christmas Carol!

After multiple days of auditions and seeing a host of talented professional actors from up and down the country, we’re very excited to reveal our cast for A Christmas Carol! Our six incredible actors can’t wait to bring the classic tale to life this festive season.

The starring role of the grumpy curmudgeon Ebenezer Scrooge will be played by the brilliant Mark Carey, who’s appeared on stage, TV and radio, as well as writing his own scripts. From Macbeth in the classic Shakespeare play to The Inspector in ‘An Inspector Calls’, Mark is no stranger to taking the lead. He’s also made appearances on the small screen in ‘Widows’, ‘London’s Burning’ and ‘Luther’, as well as in radio dramas ‘The Archers’ and ‘Homefront’, among many more.

Albany Theatre regular, Robin Johnson, will be returning for A Christmas Carol as Bob Cratchit/Ensemble, having previously appeared in ‘Alice in Wonderland’, ‘Oliver Twist’ and our previous version of ‘A Christmas Carol’. Elsewhere, Robin has appeared in ‘Emmerdale’ and ‘Doctors’ on TV, as well as a whole host of theatre shows, including over twenty pantomimes.

The wonderful Rachel Winters will be playing Belle/Ensemble, and it’s not her first time in this particular show, she’s also been in ‘A Christmas Carol’ at the RSC, along with Shakespeare classics ‘The Tempest’ and ‘As You Like It’. A big Shakespeare fan, Rachel has also performed at The Globe and runs workshops introducing Shakespeare to young children in schools.

Fintan Hayeck will be playing Fred/Ensemble, having previously appeared as Jude in the ‘Noughts and Crosses’ UK tour and Bottom in ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’, among others. He also appeared in the ‘Fri(end)s’ music video, by V from the hit South Korean boy group BTS! A West Midlands based actor, Fintan can’t wait to return for Christmas.

Just getting back from starring in ‘Come from Away’ on an inaugural cruise ship run, Rachel Bird will be back on dry land playing Mrs Fezziwig/Ensemble at The Albany. Before that she’s appeared in ‘The Baddies’ UK tour, ‘The Phantom of the Opera’ European tour and performed in plenty of professional pantomimes.

West Midlands based actress and singer, Olivia Rose Deane, will be playing Fan/Ensemble. She’s previously appeared in Sweeney Todd, Romeo and Juliet, Treasure Island and Mamma Mia The Party and can’t wait to get back to Coventry this December.

We can’t wait for you to see our incredible cast in action, so get booking your tickets now!
