BTEC in Production Arts
We are proud to be working with Coventry College to offer a Level 3 BTEC in Production Arts. This continues our long history of offering education and development opportunities.
Our History in Education
Since 2016 – 24 paid interns and apprentices have launched their careers in the arts at The Albany.
With the building is the theatre’s main house originally being built as a lecture theatre, (the Great Hall) which was sat at the heart of Coventry Technical College.
We happy to continue the tradition of this building being a place to learn.
What are we offering?
In partnership with Coventry College, we are offering a new two-year course in technical theatre and production skills. We are particularly keen to attract students from communities that are under-represented in the arts in these areas.
What is Involved?
Develop skills across a wide variety of production roles including:
- set and stage design
- lighting and sound design
- costume
- stage make up
- stage management
Students will gain initial experiences through supporting shows at the Albany and College productions across acting, dance and musical theatre shows.
The course leads to a level 3 qualification.
