The Women’s Comedy Workshop

Thursday 30th April - Thursday 14th May 2026

The Women’s Comedy Workshop

Ever wanted to try stand-up comedy?

Join us for The Women’s Comedy Workshop — a women-centred project where you’ll explore stand-up comedy in a playful, supportive environment. The workshop is open to anyone aged 18 or over who identifies as a woman, some or all of the time.

Led by Dr Natalie Diddams, a leading researcher on gender and humour, the workshops draw on her internationally acclaimed method — documented in her new book Learning Through Laughter: Affect and Empowerment in Women’s Comedy Workshops (2026) — which focuses on trusting your own comic instincts.

Expect to make new friends, push yourself out of your comfort zone, and laugh a lot.

No experience needed — just turn up!
