Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School presents: Bugsy Malone
Starring Year 6 pupils (with Year 5 pupils forming our choir)
In a world of prohibition, illegal speakeasies, and gang warfare, Fat Sam and Dandy Dan are locked in a brutal battle for control. Dandy Dan employs the “splurge gun,” a new weapon that eliminates rivals with a barrage of whipped cream. Bugsy Malone, a newcomer, finds himself caught in the crossfire while trying to win the heart of Blousey Brown, a talented singer, and resist the advances of Tallulah, a seductive songstress.
Fat Sam’s speakeasy, the Grand Slam, becomes the epicenter of the gang war, with constant threats from Dandy Dan’s mob. Bugsy and his friends must use their wits and a bit of luck to survive the chaos and ultimately find a way to stop the violence. The film culminates in a chaotic showdown at the Grand Slam, where Bugsy and his friends use various tools, including custard pies and flour bombs, to defeat Dandy Dan’s gang.
