Matinee Club – 80 Years of Victory
Tuesday 3rd June 2025

Step back in time and celebrate the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe (VE) Day with an unforgettable afternoon of nostalgia, and remembrance. This special event pays tribute to the spirit of the 1940s, honoring the courage and resilience of those who lived through World War II.

Enjoy a spectacular lineup of wartime classics and swing-era hits, featuring the beloved songs of Bing Crosby, Vera Lynn, Ella Fitzgerald, The Andrews Sisters, Frank Sinatra, and more. From the stirring anthems that brought hope to a generation to the toe-tapping tunes that filled dance halls across the world, this show is a tribute to the music that helped win the war.

Sing along to timeless favorites like We’ll Meet AgainThe White Cliffs of DoverBoogie Woogie Bugle Boy, and Don’t Sit Under the Apple Tree. Whether you remember these songs from your youth or are discovering them for the first time, this event is a chance to relive history through music and celebrate the day that peace was restored.
