Verse-Speaking Workshop with Laurence Boswell
Saturday 27th September 2025

MAKING SHAKESPEARE LIVE

This workshop will provide you with the tools for bringing Shakespeare’s verse to life.

Working with the breath, through the body and with close textual analysis, you’ll get to experience the passion and precision of the verse.

The workshop will help you learn how to find the human truth in the verse which can sometimes seem hidden.

“Learning how to help actors bring verse to life has been a career long obsession. I began my learning experience as a young man at the RSC, at the feet of company’s legendary voice expert, Cicely Berry. Passing on something of what I’ve learned over the years, is something I always look forward to”
