Last Tuesday (10th February), the foyer of The Albany Theatre was filled with love as Albany Sings celebrated Valentine’s Week with a special performance of Elvis Presley classic, “Can’t Help Falling in Love.”
Albany Sings is a weekly singing group that meets every Tuesday morning as part of the theatre’s Spring Term programme, welcoming voices of all ages and abilities for an hour of vocal warm-ups, breathing exercises, choral techniques, making friends, and, of course, singing together.

The beloved classic “Can’t Help Falling in Love” — first recorded by Elvis Presley in 1961 and widely regarded as one of the most romantic ballads of all time — provided the perfect soundtrack for Valentine’s celebrations. The song originally featured on the soundtrack of the 1961 film Blue Hawaii and has remained a favourite at weddings and celebrations ever since.
