A dapper figure, with a scarlet-lined cloak and silver-knobbed cane, Elliott O’Donnell was the world-famous prince of ghost hunters.
From the Victorian era and beyond, he spent half a century travelling the globe seeking phantoms, from poltergeists and spirits with eyes that glowed like yellow moons to an evil Dublin ghost that tried to strangle him.
These visitations and hundreds more were faithfully written down, and published in more than fifty volumes before O’Donnell’s death in 1965.
Join Adam Wood this Hallowe’en, as he delves into O’Donnell’s casebook of ghost stories and relates a legion of some of the most terrifying tales ever recorded.
Once again, guests are encouraged to dress in Hallowe’en costume, with a prizes for the best dressed!
