We had an amazing time at the First Draft Festival, celebrating the talent and creativity of our community and welcoming hundreds of you to see the very best of our theatre.
Young and old, new visitors and seasoned ones alike, we hope everyone who came along had an amazing time. There was all sorts to see and do, from live drawing and face painting to watching new pieces of theatre and dance.
Thanks to funding from the Arts Council we were able to host this incredible event as well as various community programmes in the lead up. Groups showcased their hard work at the festival, such as the Young Carers, St Hereward College, Intergenerational Theatre, Refugees and Albany Youth Theatre all exhibiting work that they created as part of free programmes of workshops led by the Albany Theatre.
And that’s not the end of our inspiring summer, with more to come in September and workshops still ongoing.
