‘The Importance of Being Earnest’ by Oscar Wilde performed by Mutley & Minques (A Full Length play)
Two young gents have taken to bending the truth in order to put some excitement into their lives. Worthing has invented a brother, Earnest, whom he uses as an excuse to leave his dull life behind to visit Gwendolyn. Montcrieff decides to take the name Earnest when visiting Worthing’s young and beautiful ward, Cecily.
Things start to go awry when they end up together in the country and their deceptions are discovered.

The cream of British amateur theatre is coming to the Albany Theatre this July.
The winners of local amateur Festivals throughout the British Isles have been competing all year for the right to be selected for the annual National Drama Festival.
The Festival is run by the National Drama Festivals Association (NDFA) and comprises seven evenings of adult one-act, youth one-act and adult full-length plays, all of which have been selected to compete based on merit.

The whole Festival will be adjudicated by the Guild of Drama Adjudicators (GoDA), specifically esteemed Adjudicator, Jan Palmer-Sayer, who will assess each play after it has been performed, and announce the full results on the Saturday evening.
