Here’s tonight’s full-length play taking part in the National Drama Festival
‘Twinkle’ by Philip Meeks performed by Talisman Theatre (A Full Length play)
For decades Harold has lived his life in tune with seasons of pantomime, as a doyen of the pantomime dame. One of the last of a dying breed, Harold may be feeling his age but he’s resisting changes to the world he loves with a vengeance.
As he prepares once again to revive his favourite character Widow Twankey, he’s decided to make the ultimate stand against his nemesis, a smug reality television star called Jez.
More About The Festival
The cream of British amateur theatre is coming to the Albany Theatre this July.
The winners of local amateur Festivals throughout the British Isles have been competing all year for the right to be selected for the annual National Drama Festival.
The Festival is run by the National Drama Festivals Association (NDFA) and comprises seven evenings of adult one-act, youth one-act and adult full-length plays, all of which have been selected to compete based on merit.

The whole Festival will be adjudicated by the Guild of Drama Adjudicators (GoDA), specifically esteemed Adjudicator, Jan Palmer-Sayer, who will assess each play after it has been performed, and announce the full results on the Saturday evening.
