Darkside of the Ledge
Sunday 19th May 2024

We are excited to present an evening of PINK FLOYD music, performed by Warwickshire-based folk-rock favourites MEET ON THE LEDGE.

The band have featured at our regular CV Folk evenings, as well as playing at The Albany Theatre’s Ukraine fundraising concert in 2022. Founder members Ron Holmes and Allen Maslen still remain from when Meet On The Ledge began as a folk duo in 1992. Today they are a five-piece band, augmented by keyboard player Steve Bird, drummer Bo Davies and newest recruit Craig Sunderland on bass.

Keyboardist Steve has an impressive pedigree, having played keys for 1960s chart topper Eden Kane (“Well I Ask You”), 70s chart topper Don Fardon (“Indian Reservation”) as well as being in the backing band for the legendary Marty Wilde.

Drummer Bo was lead percussionist for Wasps Rugby Club at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry, and was also a founder member of festival favourites Sambassadors of Groove.

Bassist Craig has a growing reputation as one of the finest multi-instrumentalists on the UK folk circuit. He is also the proud custodian and organizer of the legendary Wurzel Bush Folk Club in Rugby.

Te concert will feature songs from The Dark Side of the Moon – arguably the most influential rock album of all time – along with selections from Pink Floyd’s extensive back catalogue including Arnold Layne, Comfortably Numb, Another Brick in the Wall, Wish You Were Here, and many more.

Join us for an evening of rock music nostalgia, featuring Meet On The Ledge’s “masterful instrumentation and glorious harmonies” (folking.com)

Dancing in the Auditorium

Whilst we know our audiences love to get up and dance when they come to see live bands and tribute acts at the Albany Theatre, we do ask that you please be considerate of those around you and be aware this may obstruct the view for other patrons. Please do not dance in or block the aisles.

For those patrons who want to remain seated we recommend that they book their seats from row E, or in the Balcony (where the balcony is on sale), where dancing is prohibited due to the rake of the seats making it unsafe.

Please note that the access to the Balcony area is via stairs only and there is no lift access to the Balcony seating area.

See Getting Here for more information on how to find us.
