CVFolk Presents: Tu-Kay and Ryan
Sunday 9th June 2024

Ash Tu-kay & Rebecca Ryan make their much anticipated guest appearance for June’s CVFolk ‘2nd Sunday’ event.

Proving a hit with audiences across the UK and beyond, they started working together after meeting at a studio session in the spring of 2018. They instantly formed a musical connection and have now established themselves as a multi award winning acoustic duo blurring the lines between folk, Americana and roots music. With lush harmonies and heartfelt lyrics, their songs encourage a positive outlook on life, even when things may be tough. They are optimists at heart and believe there is always a light at the end of the tunnel, no matter how small or distant it may seem.

They have so far released 4 EPs and have received global radio play for singles released since 2021. In May 2022, their single Temporal Drifter went to number 1 in the Amazon Folk Charts, for both bestsellers and hot new releases.

“At a time when we are all understandably swimming against global anxiety, it’s so great that these two wildly optimistic tunesmiths are keeping our peckers up for us.” Tim Bricheno (All About Eve)

Postponed from last January following illness, the evening’s line-up is the same as originally planned, with performances also featured by highly regarded Stratford singer-songwriter Katherine Abbott, and talented duo Yonderland, very active on the local folk club circuit and comprising singers and multi-instrumentalists Paul Monks and Jane Moss.

Doors open 7pm for a 7.30 start and admission is free, but please give generously to our ‘caddy collection’ during the interval.
