Barry Steele - The Roy Orbison Story

Thursday 27 September 2018, 7:30pm

Roy Orbison - the man with the sunglasses and the black suit who delivered some of the world’s darkest and most emotional ballads. And one of the most distinctive looking and sounding performers in modern music.

With impeccable credentials and a heartfelt admiration for “The Big O”, Barry Steele takes on the title role in The Roy Orbison Story with an upbeat and contemporary slant on his musical legacy. Barry Steele and Friends guarantee to enthral audiences with a musical journey starting in the early Sun years through to the late 80s and including his work with the likes of Bono, Bruce Springsteen, The Traveling Wilburys, George Harrison and Bob Dylan.

Barry Steele has received rave reviews for his uncanny ability to recreate the vocal talents of this global legend in a show that is an electric mix of solid gold 60s, chart-busting hits and the star’s 1980s contemporary genius that truly celebrates the phenomenal musical talent of Roy Orbison.
